I wanted to create a work that illuminates the explosive feeling of love, portraying it as a radiant burst akin to a supernova. The canvas comes alive with swirling energy layered using palette knife and thick impasto as a stark contrast to the delicate and soft pastel detail of the skin – drawing you into that soft but mesmerizing moment of touch. The moment where you feel suspended in time, floating out of your body as the butterflies lift you towards the stars. The pointillist dots serves as a reminder that we too are made of stardust. An invitation to go inward and celebrate the interconnectedness and the universal bond that unites us.
